Necessity is an original painting by Berkshires artist Julie Henderson.

Henderson is a Berkshires-based painter whose dreamlike, contemplative work is rooted in the natural world. Trained at MassArt and the University of Delaware, she returned to painting after a long hiatus; her work hangs at Fish City Studios, 39 Main St, Gloucester, alongside the Jon Sarkin archive.
